"This Moisturiser with Sunscreen SPF15 is the first sunscreen I've used that is not irritating to my skin or eyes in any way and it has a wonderful texture that allows me to apply makeup without it sliding off. It makes sense to me to avoid chemicals, yet effective sunscreen is important too. I highly recommend this one."

Features
- Calendula - helps skin resist sun damage, soothes sensitivity.
- Avocado and Sesame - aid in the sunscreening factor, so lowering the levels of approved chemical agents needed in the formula. Nutrient rich, enhance deep moisture levels.
- Chamomile – soothes irritated skin.
Why use SPF15 rather than SPF30 or SPF50?
- SPF15 is the ideal SPF (Sun Protection Factor) for most sun exposure situations - without double/triple the chemical load of approved sunscreening chemicals of SPF30, 50 etc.
- SPF 15 gives similar sun protection as 'higher' SPFs when applied every two hours - as all sunscreens must be.

Note
While we usually don’t use Myristate, there is a specific benefit when formulating an ‘emulsion based‘ sunscreen where the need to penetrate a short distance into the skin is demanded for maximum effectiveness. We ameliorate any congestion by adding the enhancing emulsifiers of Sesame, Calendula, Avocado and Jojoba. There are also 12 other fresh plant and flower extracts that significantly support the health of the skin.
- Apply liberally 15 minutes or more prior to sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours or sooner if swimming. Avoid sun exposure between 11am and 2pm. Always wear a hat, effective sunglasses and protective clothing where possible.
- Apply again after swimming.
- Perfect for even the most sensitive skin.
- Safe to apply to infants and young children.
SPF Facts
You may think if the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is ‘higher’, then your sun protection must equivalently rise as well.
That isn’t the case.
While an SPF15 will block around 93 percent of UVB rays, doubling SPF to 30 will block 97 percent; SPF50 blocks 98 percent. That’s only a 4 and a 5 percent difference – not double (what the marketing of these products would have you believe).
Generally an SPF 15 is sufficient, especially if it can be worn when swimming. For maximum protection against prolonged exposure to the sun it is highly recommended to also wear protective clothing, a hat and effective sunglasses.
All sunscreens must be reapplied every two hours regardless of SPF.
